Brokerage Event - Cross-clustering partnership for boosting eco-innovation by develpoing a joint bio-based value-added network for the Danube Region

The brokerage event will be organized in the context of a conference for boosting eco-innovation by developing a joint bio-based value-added network for the Danube Region via cross clustering partnerships.
The transition of a fossil-based to a bio-based industry addresses some of the main challenges identified in the Danube region. The dependency on fossil resources will be reduced and climate change targets be supported by reducing the GHG emissions. Furthermore the eco-innovations will support the regional development by diversifying the local economy and creating new employment opportunities. The development of new bio-based value chains from primary production to consumer markets needs to be done by connecting enterprises from different regions and industries. But due to a missing holistic transnational approach Danube actors in bio-based industry still operate disconnected and cannot properly benefit from the potential.
Therefore the aim of this initiative is to develop new methods and tools to connect enterprises trans-nationally. Clusters as the representatives of many enterprises are chosen to organise the industry cooperation and creation of new value chains, because they are sustainable partners and guarantee the upgrade-ability in the dimension industry, sciences and politics.
The clusters and SMEs will benefit from the new innovative tools and methods developed for transnational cross-clustering. Successfully established new bio-based value chains in the pilot actions can motivate other clusters and SMEs to test this newly developed approach in the future.
The event enjoys the presence of eminent representatives of European organizations, national and international clusters, research institutes, universities and companies.
In addition to the high scientific and informative character, the event will also have a strong practical side facilitating bilateral business meetings between participating national and international companies and clusters via the brokerage event session conducted with the support of Enterprise Europe Network.
The brokerage event will take place in parallel with the conference.
Participation in the brokerage is open for other EEN organizations and their clients, as well for other participants.

Brokerage Event on the occasion of the WORLD MARITIME WEEK 2017

The Basque Consortium of the Enterprise Europe Network in collaboration with EVE, the Basque Energy Agency, is organizing a Brokerage Event on the occasion of the WORLD MARITIME WEEK 2017, an international showcase for the naval, port, fisheries and energy sectors that will take place from 27th March to 31st March 2017 at the Bilbao Exhibition Center in Bilbao, Spain. The Maritime Week hosts 4 International Congresses: SINAVAL which will focus on the naval sector, EUROFISHING on the fisheries sector, MARINE ENERGY WEEK, which will focus on offshore renewable energies, particularly offshore wind power and ocean energy and FUTUREPORT, which will concentrate on ports.

The Matchmaking Sessions will be organized on 30 March 2017.

Business Sessions will give an opportunity to learn about EU-funding for projects from the maritime and energy sectors. In the framework of the Marine Energy Week, it will be launched the first call of OCEANERA-NET COFUND, the new Era-Net Cofund on ocean energy technologies.

Brokerage Event: Advanced Manufacturing in EUREKA

The Basque Enterprise Europe Network Consortium collaborates in the organization of the Brokerage Event that will take place in the "InfoDay and Brokerage Event: Advanced Manufacturing in EUREKA"

The general objective of the event are to introduce SMART, the new EUREKA Cluster Initiative on Advanced Manufacturing. There will be two main activities:
Morning session: InfoDay on the Multilateral Eureka Network Call for Projects on Advanced Manufacturing
Afternoon session: Brokerage event and business match for project proposal preparation

SMART is an initiative to launch a new EUREKA Cluster Program on Advanced Manufacturing. SMART's goal is the promotion of international, collaborative R&D&I projects among key stakeholders of the value chain (Large industries, SMEs, Research Institutes and Academia)

Matchmaking MAP EXPO 2017

During the MAP-EXPO 2017 Enterprise Europe Network organizes an international matchmaking.
In cooperation with the fair organization of MAP-EXPO 2017 Enterprise Europe Network invites European Agri solution enterprises in the herbal industrial value chains.
The international matchmaking is focused on strengthening ties in those herbal industrial value chains. Incoming missions from the Far East, Africa and other parts of the world will be there too.
Topics for cooperation are research, domestication, cultivation, harvesting, post-harvesting, drying, conservation, distillation, extraction, product development in combination with traditional remedies, sorting and selection, packaging, tracing and quality control.

The MAP EXPO 2017 is a combination of a fair, conference and matchmaking.
The main-organizer of the matchmaking is the Kamer van Koophandel. Co-organizers are Zenit and Praxi (A unit of the Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas).

H2020 Brokerage Event: Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials (N&M)

Building on the success of the Anglo-Dutch brokerage event that took place in the Hague (March 2016), the Enterprise Europe Network, in partnership with Innovate UK, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, Knowledge Transfer Network and the UK Department of Business Energy & Industrial Strategy invite you to participate in an international partnering event and information day for the N&M part of the NMBP Work Programme within Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

This is a free one-day event that will introduce the forthcoming calls for proposals, present insights and expectations from the European Commission, and offers a unique international networking experience to forge the winning partnerships of the future.

The programme will include presentations from the European Commission and its evaluators and an opportunity to build prospective project partnerships with leading research organisations and cutting-edge innovators from across industry.

A dedicated brokerage session will allow you to expand your international network and create strong consortia through scheduled one-to-one meetings. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with National Contact Points (UK and Netherlands confirmed) and representatives of the Enterprise Europe Network and the UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network.

The day will also include an optional proposal writing workshop in which delegates will be given valuable tips and insight into the preparation of a winning H2020 proposal including a review of the key evaluation criteria.

Participation for the day is free of charge, but early registration is recommended as the number of participants is limited.

V Inward Trade Mission in the Agrofood sector to La Rioja

This event will join Spanish enterprises in the Agrofood sector from La Rioja and importers and distributors from Germany, Austria, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Poland, and China.

During one day,companies will maintain business meetings previously established in agenda, with European distributors and importers. The following day will be dedicated to visits to companies previously requested by importers. The EEN in Regional Business Federation of La Rioja (ES) is the promoter of the event, co-organized by EEN in Business Organisations from the above mentioned countries.

Sectors represented:

Enterprises in the Agrofood Sector from La Rioja: Wine in Denomination of Origin Rioja, Sausages (serrano jam, chorizo…), tinned vegetables (peppers, artichokes, mushrooms, asparagus, etc.), Olive oil, Sauces, etc

Importers and distributors: Wine importers and multiproduct distributors from EU and Asia: Importers, Food chains, purchase agencies for Hotels and Restaurants, chains of delicatessen shops, chains of supermarkets, other. Meeting place: Riojaforum (Logroño, La Rioja).

EU B2B @Milan Design Week #Fuorisalone2017

CNA Lombardia is organizing a brokerage event during Milan Design Week, 4-9 April 2017, in the heart of Fuorisalone, one of the most important event in design all over the world.

Fuorisalone is a set of events distributed in different areas of Milan during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, staged in the halls of Rho Fiera. Every year, in April, Salone and Fuorisalone define the Milan Design Week, the most important event in the world for design addicted.

The Fuorisalone is the most important and prestigious event linked to the international design world. Over the years, various Design Weeks - including those of London, New York, Paris, Dubai, Miami and Beijing, have been set up on this format but noone has been able to near the capacity and numbers of Milan, which counts 400,000 visitors, business worth Euro 250 million, sector staff from 165 countries, 1,200 events registered in the city, more than 2,000 companies exhibiting in the Salone at Rho Fiera. This is just some of the data bearing witness to the force and centrality of Milan in the international context.

The Fuorisalone started spontaneously early in the 1980s through companies working in the furnishing and industrial design sectors in the Tortona area, still one of the most important design district in the city. Winding through the streets of Via Savona, Via Tortona and Via Forcella, this circuit pulsates with vitality, with a lot of events and special exhibitions, such as Moooi (link), Kartel, Asus and other important brands.

In this context, the brokerage event will take place inside the exhibition “Manifattura 4.0” staged at the 1st floor of BASE Milano (Via Bergognone, 34 Milan), one of the historic site of the Fuorisalone in Tortona district.
Organized by CNA Lombardia, with Finlombarda, Unioncamere Lombardia, Unioncamere Piemonte and Innovhub as co-organizers, the B2B will promote meetings between Italian and foreign companies in order to enhance international business cooperation.

In the Mediterranean area, Italy represents the central point of olive production because of its history and environmental conditions. As such, it can be considered as an open laboratory producing the latest and most advanced technologies able to support, for itself and for the world, the development of olive-production techniques and practices.

The Italian olive oil sector has a unique position in the world. Italy is the second largest producer in Europe and the world of olive oil with a national average of more than 464.000 tons.
According to the International Olive Oil Council, Italy and Turkey are the most important olive producer countries in the world after Spain.

In this respect, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (ARCI) as a member of Enterprise Europe Network is organizing a company mission to Italy from April 5th to 10th, 2017.

This company mission will focus only olive and olive oil sector and the mission will comprise of technical visits.

There are 3 important olive oil machinery producer companies will be visited by the Turkish delegation. The aim of the company mission will be to establish trade cooperation between both Turkish and Italian companies, to have an exchange of ideas and to evaluate the latest developments in olive oil sector.

Danish-EU-US Maritime Networking Day

The US Maritime Cluster is on a company/cluster mission to Europe in beginning of April and the cluster and approx. 10 companies will be in Copenhagen, Denmark on April 10. The US companies and the clusters have two focus 1) b2b co-operation 2) meeting clusters around the Baltic Sea.

Danish maritime clusters and their company members have a long tradition in working in the sector and are interested cooperation and the visit. Virtual Reality World Congress

Opposable VR have announced plans for VR World Congress 2017. The company’s third VR conference: This year the conference will triple in size with an expected 2000 attendees over the 3 day-event taking place on 11th, 12th and 13th April 2017.

The Congress will take place across multiple venues in central Bristol, including a 2000 capacity glass marquee in Millenium Square. Interalpin B2B Matchmaking 2017

Every two years the leading alpine industry meets in the heart of the Alps at the most popular international trade fair in this branch, the Interalpin (www.interalpin.at). In 2015 23,000 professional visitors from almost 80 countries attended the event.

In 2017 international delegations from Russia, Canada, Chile, China, South Korea, Japan, Sweden, France and Denmark are expected. The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber together with Enterprise Europe Network partners will make use of this international attendance and offer Austrian companies an exclusive networking platform the day before the opening of the trade fair.

Company Mission at FRESKON Fair 2017

The Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING), in collaboration with the National Exhibition Agency TIF HELEXPO SA, is organizing a Company Mission on 28 April 2017, during the FRESKON International Fresh Fruit & Vegetables Fair.

This event targets the following sectors:-

- organic fruit & vegetables
- packaging & standardization materials, machinery, equipment
- transport & logistics
- quality control labs
- hotels, restaurants, catering.

FRESKON Fair will take place for the third consecutive time on 27-29 April 2017 in Thessaloniki. The goal is to designate FRESKON as the sole commercial event concerning the fresh fruit and vegetables sector in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Last year’s exhibition attracted over 200 exhibitors from a total of 30 countries, and close to 5000 visitors from 37 countries, including 150 hosted buyers.

The FRESKON exhibitors and matchmaking participants will have the opportunity to get in contact with the most significant groups of the international retail sector, as well as with domestic and foreign dealers for fresh fruit and vegetables.

How to generate and manage knowledge in multi-cloud environments; the iKaaS project approach.

Nowadays, the pervasiveness of IoT devices in Smart Cities (let them be sensors/actuators, personal devices like mobile phones etc.) creates a wealth of information that if manipulated appropriately can reveal knowledge and insights of unprecedented value for Smart City applications. In addition to IoT devices, the infrastructure owned even by individuals these days has raised to a level that it can support functionalities traditionally offered by legacy cloud installations. Therefore, in addition to data, infrastructure itself can be contributed to create a multi-cloud environment that pushes the notion of edge/fog computing to its extreme. Matchmaking Recycling Technology

On 10th and 11th May the exhibition 2017 RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund will take place for the fourth time.

The trade show’s main focus is all about machinery and technical components for recycling and environmentally responsible disposal: from balers and shredding machines, sorting systems and crushers, to sieving and separating machines, through to conveyor systems – everything for recycling organisations, recycling depots and disposal companies, as well as for enterprises with in-house recycling facilities. Technology Forum: A few words on the event

Technology Forum started as a local initiative with the synergy of academic, research and business organisations of North Greece. During the last 4 years it has been established as a major cooperative event in Thessaloniki, gathering entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators and aiming to present ICT technologies and to award past co-operations among the R&D and the business ICT community. In 2016 the first Matchmaking Event was organised attracting participants from Greece and other countries of the region and beyond.

A Turkish businessmen delegation of 20 persons from Samsun city is organizing a business trip to Dnipro, Ukraine between 18-21 May 2017. The delegation consists of the representatives of grain, lumber, fish and hard shell nut products sector. During the visit, the delegation is going to visit Dnipro Association of Agriculture, Dnipro Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the fields of corn and wheat in order to examine the current agricultural system and innovations in Dnipro.

European Maritime Day 2017 – Matchmaking Event

The event is organised in the framework of European Maritime Day Conference 2017, which will take place on the 18th and 19th of May 2017 in Poole, Dorset, England.

The European Maritime Day (EMD) is an annual event which welcomes Europe's growing maritime community gathering EU maritime stakeholders and EU policymakers to discuss, debate and exchange best practices.

Main topics

Green chemistry is set to play an important role in the evolution of industry. More specifically, the use of plant-based resources, one of the foundations of the concept of “green chemistry”. Many green chemistry processes make use of white biotechnology tools, and light will be shed on the importance of this technological synergy within the context of industry and factories in the future.

Biotechnology is a way of using biomass or its waste material renewably to produce molecules with high added value for different applications, ranging from pharmaceuticals, agri-food, and cosmetics to plastics, materials and energy. For many years, our universities and research centres have been honing their expertise in, among other fields, microbial biotechnology, from basic handling in the laboratory through to industrial applications. These initiatives have helped come up with new materials (biomaterials) and biotechnological processes, for example, based on the use of renewable raw materials that will ultimately replace or complement certain processes.

GreenWin, Belgian innovation cluster in the environmental sector aims to tackle major technological challenges such as sustainable chemistry, sustainable materials in building sector, and the environmental technologies.

Norte Exporta Business Matchmaking Meeting is a b2b event organized by the Export Promotion Commission of Peru - PROMPERU, as part of the Enterprise Europe Network in Peru, to present the export offer of Peruvian growers, producers and exporters from the northern coast and highlands of Peru to the International buyers, importers and distributors invited for this meeting. The event will take place on March 2nd at Piura - Peru and will not involve any cost for participants.

Among the main goals of the event we can mention:

- Promote business matchmaking between Peruvian producers, processors and exporters of agribusiness and fishing products with importers and distributors of the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America
- Showcase to the international visitors the business and investment opportunities that Peru offers in the agroindustry and fishing sectors.

The main products to be negotiated are:
- Asparagus, peppers, artichokes, lima beans, fava beans, bananas, pulses, mangoes, grapes, blueberries, avocados, limes, passion fruits and golden berries
- Fresh, processed, frozen pulps, dried or juices.
- Giant squid (fillets and rings), shrimps, scallops, Mahi mahi, trout, Paiche (fillets) and anchovy.

The Peruvian organization will provide the international airfares, inland transportation and lodging for the international buyers, previously evaluated.

This event is oriented to international buyers that handles agroindustrial and fishery products as a importers, distributors, retailers or end-consumers. Companies interested in attending please contact to:

The evaluation will consider the proper demand of internatinal buyers that matchs Peruvian offer. We mean that if there is any European company that buy the products we are managing for this event, PROMPERU will confirm their participation by email and ask them for the flying and acommodation details in Peru.

The program include a welcome dinner for international buyers on May 24th. Next day we will have the business matchmaking meetings from 09:00 to 18:00 hours and lunch break for buyers. On May 26th we have arranged a visit to fields and processing facilities as well returning flights to Lima with connections to countries of origin.

Latest event hold in 2016, allowed 103 Peruvian exporters to get in touch with 46 international buyers, which meant more than US$ 49 million negotiated sales.

Tour d'Europe Stockholm 2017

The Tour d’Europe event is an opportunity for Swedish buyers to meet food & drink producers from other European countries. The event will organise face-to-face buyer-producer meetings based on specific requests from the Swedish buyers. Producers from all over Europe will travel to Stockholm to present their products during the pre-booked meetings.

In 2015 the Tour d’Europe pilot project proved to be very successful, as food and drink producers from all over Europe came to Edinburgh to meet with Scottish buyers, and showcase their products. As a result a second edition of the tour was organized in Rotterdam where 60 meetings between buyers and producers were held. In May 2016 it was Stockholm's turn to host the Tour d'Europe. At the event around 20 Swedish buyers met with over 60 producers from 9 different countries, many new business cooperations were for sure established. In 2017 Tour d'Europe will be organized in Stockholm for the second time.

Registration and participating in this event is free of charge. However only participants with scheduled meetings will be accepted to the event in Stockholm on 31 May. Encouraged by the success of the previous editions of the Subcontracting Industrial Subcontracting Exhibitions, Poznan International Fair decided to organise the "Subcontracting Meetings 2017" which will be held simultaneously with the biggest industrial trade fair in Poland – the ITM Poland.

Company Mission Techconn 2017 Industrial Manufacturing Eastern Netherlands

On Thursday July 15, 2017 a one-day fair is organised during the second Techconn event in Eastern Netherlands. This fair is aimed in connecting mainly Dutch and German industrial manufacturing industry and related services, to establish new business contacts for manufacturing and innovation.
On the Techconn fairground approx. 50 local industrial companies will present themselves in semi informal setting.

The Enterprise Europe Network has been entrusted with the organisation of the Brokerage Event that will take place on the third day of this prestigious event. On 23 June 2017, the expected 900 international delegates attending the EuroNanoForum will have the opportunity to arrange individual meetings and network. The EuroNanoForum 2017 conference (ENF2017) will actually take place on 21-23 June 2017 in Malta, under the auspices of the Maltese presidency of the European Union. Italian-Slovak Gastrotour 2017

Italian - Slovak Gastrotour 2017 will be a partnering event organised during Danubius Gastro exhibition, that presents a comprehensive offer for gastronomy and hotel industry, ranging from professional equipment through furniture, foodstuffs and beverages to packaging and advertising. A collective attendance of foreign exhibitors offers the visitors a chance to get a taste of various national culinary specialties and drinks. Danubius Gastro is a feast for all those who are interested in the presented fields, either as experts or laymen. In addition to pleasing the senses, it brings a plethora of useful information for hotels, restaurants, spas and different types of gastronomy facilities and retailers. Side events with competitions for bartenders, baristas, cooks, confectioners, bakers and sommeliers form an inseparable part of the Danubius Gastro exhibition.
Event will be mainly focused on participants from Italy and Slovakia, but it is open also to other participants from other countries as well.

Tour d'Europe Cologne 2017 / ANUGA Pre-Event

The Tour d’Europe event is an opportunity for German buyers to meet food & drink producers from other European countries. The event will organise face-to-face buyer-producer meetings based on specific requests from the German buyers. Producers from all over Europe will travel to Cologne to present their products during the pre-booked meetings. This new type of event is an initiative from Enterprise Europe Network - aiming to connect buyers and producers of the food & drink sector.

In 2015 the Tour d’Europe pilot project proved to be very successful, as food and drink producers from all over Europe came to Edinburgh to meet with Scottish buyers, and showcase their products. As a result a second edition of the tour was organized in Rotterdam and in Stockholm in 2016.

The event will be organised prior to the ANUGA - the world's leading food fair for the retail trade and the food service and catering market. The trade fair will take place from 7 to 11 October 2017 in Cologne.

Registration and participating in this event is free of charge. However, only participants with scheduled meetings will be accepted to the event in Cologne on 6 October. Travel and accommodation is at your own expense. Buyers and producers are encouraged to register on the event's website: https://www.b2match.eu/tour-d-europe-anuga2017.

Any network partner that (possibly) has clients that match the requests of the buyers is welcome to become coorganizer. Coorganizers will be added here continously upon commitment.

Biotech Cluster and SME Mission 2017

Following the successful results from the previous missions, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising again a cluster match-making mission in the Biotechnology sector. This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale. The mission will also contribute to improve the cooperation strategies between EU and Japanese clusters.

The Biotech Cluster/SME mission coincides with the “BioJapan” Expo in Yokohama (http://www.ics-expo.jp/biojapan/en/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors. In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

Additionally, a partnering event will be organized one day before the fair.

A month before the mission, an online pre-departure briefing will be held to prepare for the mission to ensure participants get the most out of it.

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising, for the third time, a cluster match-making mission in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector.

This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The ICT Cluster/SME mission coincides with this autumn’s "Japan IT Week" trade fair in Chiba (http://www.japan-it.jp/en/aki). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors.

In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

A month before the mission, an online pre-departure briefing will be held to prepare for the mission to ensure participants get the most out of it.

Incoming Company mission during Filoxenia 2017 International tourism event

Praxi Network is organizing an incoming company mission during Philoxenia 2016 international tourism event that will take place in Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre between 10 and 11/11/2017.

The International Tourism Exhibition Philoxenia remains the most important meeting point of the tourism professionals from Greece and the Balkans attracting 100 exhibitors and more than 12.000 visitors in 2015.

Why Participate in the Company Mission?

During the mission Greek and European tourist operators , airlines agencies , hotels , chambers of commerce and other professionals in the tourism industry will have the opportunity to establish cross-border contacts for future co-operations, through prearranged individual meetings, with the aim of conducting business and designing new touristic product and services.

Parallel Activities:

Along the Company mission a special session will be organize in order to promote project proposal related to tourism and cultural heritage associated with forthcoming call for proposals in cross border colloboration (Greece-Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Greece-Italy) as well as transnational collaboration ( Balkan-Med, Adriatic-Ionian and Med). Praxi Network is organizing a company mission for Greek Food SMEs during SIAL Middle East 2017* which will take place between 11 and 13 December 2017 in Abu Dhabi, Emirates.

During the mission the participating companies will have an opportunity to meet with potential customers from the Emirates and the Gulf Countries and learn about global networking and financing opportunities through pre-arranged business meetings. The target areas : bakery products, olive oil , packaging materials and aromatic plants.

SIAL Middle East2017 is the largest food & beverage exhibition in the Gulf countries and MENA region attracting SMEs from retail, hotel/restaurant/catering (HoReCa), food services and manufacturing.
