Biobased Economy Conference - Virtual Edition

The German federal Ministry of Education and Research called out 2020 to be the year of Bioeconomy. A good reason to organise our fourth edition on Bioeconomy - this time virtual!.

Like the previous conferences the format is supposed to bring actors from all disciplines and sectors together to (further) develop new biobased value chains for biobased products. The focus in 2020 will be on the element of circularity. After all the bioeconomy approach is not sustainable necessarly since even renewable resources can be wasted. Therefore best practice examples as well as relevant keynotes and interactive formats shall explore the feasibilities and pitfalls of a circular bioeconomy.

Cluster-to-Cluster Meeting & Innovat&Match Brokerage Event 2020

ART-ER organizes its first online brokerage event Innovat&Match 2020: three days of bilateral meetings between clusters, universities, research centres and companies in the framework of R2B - Research to Business 2020, 15th edition of the International Exhibition on Industrial Research and Skills for Innovation.

The virtual event is organised by ART-ER Attractiveness Research Territory in cooperation with the Emilia-Romagna Enterprise Europe Network partners of the SIMPLER Consortium.

The initiative promotes the creation of technological agreements, research projects and transnational collaboration between researchers and entrepreneurs.

Innovat&Match is the crucial networking spot for R2B participants where they attend bilateral meetings, present and discuss possibilities of transnational cooperation and technology transfer on cross-sector topics.

The online meetings will take place over three days the 10th, 11th and 12th June.
- The first day (10th June) will be dedicated entirely to Cluster-to-Cluster matchmaking,
- whilst on the second and third day (11-12th June) a wider range of participants (companies, universities, research centres and clusters) will be taking part in 1:1 meetings within the framework of Innovat&Match 2020.

B2WORTH 2020: virtual company mission in the fashion and design sectors

Within the framework of Enterprise Europe Network, the SIMPLER Consortium is organizing a virtual matchmaking event for companies involved in the WORTH Partnership Project on the 17 and 18 June 2020.

The WORTH initiative, funded under the COSME programme, aims to create transnational and cross-discipline collaborations between fashion, product and industrial designers, crafters, manufacturers, technology firms and start-ups across EU and COSME countries, to develop unique and high-end products in the following sectors: fashion and textile, footwear, fur and leather, furniture and home decoration, accessories and jewellery. Company mission of Polish companies from metal processing sector to Hannover, Germany

The planned company mission provides an answer to the needs expressed by the companies from Podlaskie region. The duration and destination of the mission have been established on the basis of the analysis conducted among local/regional companies. The company mission is co-organised with the Metal Processing Cluster. The mission is aimed at any company from metal processing industry, regardless of being a member of Metal Processing Cluster. The objective is to boost opportunities for international cooperation and establish new prospective business contacts, which will be achieved by active participation in the Hannover Messe trade fairs.


Who can register?
The registration is open for companies from the Podlaskie region in Poland that are active in the field of metal processing.

How can I register?
The registration process is done by a questionnaire available on the dedicated website (http://misja.pfrr.pl). Polish companies willing to participate in the outgoing mission shall contact the Podlaska Regional Development Foundation using the said website.

Online EEN Brokerage Event "Technology & Business Cooperation Days"

The real Enterprise Europe Network brokerage event during Hannover Messe 2020 "Technology & Business Cooperation Days” willl now be organised as "virtual brokerage event". The HANNOVER MESSE 2020 will not take place due to the increasingly critical corona pandemic situation and finally by da decree of the Hannover Region.
This means that all bilateral meetings organised within the framework of the event will be held as online meetings/video-conferences via this website. We will schedule meeting slots in April (20/4 – 23/4) and in July (13/7 – 16/7). You do not need any additional software, only an up-to-date web browser, a microphone and a webcam.

This event is organised by the local Enterprise Europe Network partner (NBank Hannover) and many other network partners ensuring a strong participation of German, European and international participants.

With the "Technology & Business Cooperation Days 2020" Enterprise Europe Network Niedersachsen will to continue the great success of the 2019 edition with nearly 600 participants from 37 countries (170 from Germany), the support of 100 network partners and 15 other partners (e.g. NCP Energy, NCP Production, industrial and automotive cluster organisations,...).

The brokerage event offers SMEs and research organisations the opportunity to find and meet partners for commercial agreements and for research & technology cooperation in the above mentioned fields.

The 2-week ‘Get Ready for Japan’ training programme offers EU managers the unique opportunity to experience and understand both the cultural and economic elements which define and explain Japan's business and technological achievements. Continuously improved to meet the latest expectations about business in Japan, the Get Ready for Japan provides EU businessmen with a professional Japan-related expertise.

It is focused on business management and consists of a combination of lectures, case studies, role plays and company visits. This is designed to help participants become thoroughly informed about the actual conditions of Japanese business through practical analysis and research. Participants will have the opportunity to take part to negotiation role-play exercises and discuss with Japanese managers about decision-making, team management methods in Japan. The mission may include the possibility to have tailored B2B meetings as well.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

- have a major role in defining and implementing their companies’ policies vis-à-vis Japan,

Matchmaking event during the 85th edition of the Thessaloniki International Fair

The Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE), in collaboration with the National Exhibition Agency TIF HELEXPO SA, is organizing a Brokerage Event on 7-8 September 2020, during the 85th edition of the Thessaloniki International Fair, which will take place on 5-13 September 2020.

The first Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) was organized almost a century ago in 1926. Over the following decades, TIF has come to be considered as the "mother" of national exhibitions. It is also the largest trade exhibition not only in Greece but in the whole of the Balkan region. In addition, it has built up a solid reputation for hosting various parallel sessions, including international parternariat events, as well as business-to-government features.

With a strong focus on showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation, TIF has consistently worked towards promoting the Greek economy and enhancing foreign partnerships, particularly in the wider region of Southeast Europe. Furthermore, it has been instrumental in creating “incubators” for the development of other internationally-oriented events.

The main goal of SEEIIST, the South East European International Institute for Sustainable Technologies is the realisation of a “Facility for Tumour Hadron Therapy and Biomedical Research” based on a state-of-the-art particle-accelerator design developed in collaboration with the main European research centres CERN and GSI-FAIR.
The facility is expected to stimulate the development of complementary technologies, such as the use of alternative energy sources or the development of advanced digital systems, and to trigger spin-offs not directly linked to the facility. To maximise benefits it is planned as a regionally distributed facility with hubs in different countries offering numerous opportunities for technology transfer and benefits to local industry as well as international cooperation opportunities.

On 8 October 2020 Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute organizes the 13th International Technology Transfer Conference in collaboration with the International multiconference Information Society (IS2020).
This year’s conference will tackle the following issues:

•Responsible research and innovation (concepts, good practices, experiences)
•How to include society into research and innovation planning?

Biotech Cluster and SME Mission 2020

Following the successful results from the previous years, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising the 8th edition of the cluster and SMEs match-making mission in the Biotechnology sector. This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale. The mission will also contribute to improve the cooperation strategies between EU and Japanese clusters.

The Biotech Cluster/SME mission coincides with the “BioJapan” Expo in Yokohama (http://www.ics-expo.jp/biojapan/en/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors. In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

Additionally, a partnering event will be organized one day before the fair, in Osaka.

OBJECTIVES

SME and clusters participants can benefit of a €600 grant, provided by the European Commission, through our organisation to help cover the flight and hotel costs that are to be covered by the participant.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 20 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.

Brokerage event at the European Biotech and Pharma Partnering Conference 2020 in Osaka, Japan

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation as the partner of Enterprise Europe Network in Japan, is organising a Brokerage Event in Biotech and Pharma sectors, which will take place on 13 October 2020 in Osaka, Japan.

Being Japan’s second largest city, Osaka is a major economic centre for Biotech and Pharma industry in Japan and hosts several biotech clusters. Historically, a large number of pharmaceutical companies have been concentrated in Osaka. Nowadays, bio-related pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers and their surrounding companies, including chemical and medical equipment companies are accumulated around Osaka and forming clusters.

During the event, business representatives of EU companies will have an opportunity to attend pre-arranged B2B meetings with Japanese companies from the Kansai region. The event serves a perfect platform to meet representatives of Japanese companies and accelerate opportunities for potential business partnerships between EU and Japanese companies. The event will kick off with an opening speech at 9 AM and the B2B meetings will take place shortly after (from 9:20 PM to 4:00 PM).

SIAL is the world's leading food industry show which takes place
every two years in Paris.

SIAL Innovation will once again be casting the spotlight on a host of innovative food products.

A brokerage event is organised in SIAL by Enterprise Europe Network Normandie and Paris Ile de France.

The event will organise face-to-face buyer-producer meetings based on specific requests from the international buyers. Producers from all over Europe will travel to Paris to present their products during the pre-booked meetings. This new type of event is an initiative from Enterprise Europe Network - aiming to connect buyers and producers of the food sector.

Registration and participation of the buyers : free of charge.

Registration and participation in this event for the suppliers is not free of charge. The cost is 350 euros for the first scheduled meeting with a buyer and the following meetings 200 euros. The invoice will be sent only after the validation of your agenda.
For meetings between supliers, the cost is 75 euros.

Regarding this special period, we had instructions in order to help the resumption of activity of our companies as much as possible.
That’s why we are thinking with our partner Business France to redefine the price of this action for companies which will have meetings with buyers. At this moment, we don’t have the final price. But the price could be 100 euros per booked meeting.

This international brokerage event is organised in the framework of the 7th edition of CERAMIC NETWORK - the meeting point for stakeholders in the field of technical ceramics. This year it is the first time that the Enterprise Europe Network is officially involved, with the aim to more internationalise the event. CERAMIC NETWORK 2020 will take place on the 04th and 05th November 2020 in the French city of Limoges. The latter has a very long history in ceramics and is acknowledged worldwide for its porcelain items/ porcelain tableware. The local ecosystem has succeeded in transforming these special competences in efficient industrial SMEs developing technical ceramics for the following strategic markets: Luxury & Creation, Health, Environment & Housing, Energy & Transport, Electronics & Photonics.
Based in Limoges since 2005, the EUROPEAN CERAMICS CLUSTER ("Pôle européen de la céramique") federates local stakeholders (suppliers, buyers, RTOs, ...) specialized in technical ceramics to connect them with the European and international markets. Business to Blue (B2Blue)

ART-ER, within the Enterprise Europe Network Simpler consortium, organizes Business to Blue (B2Blue) brokerage event, one day of bilateral meetings between universities, research centres, SME and companies on the blue economy. The event is organised in the framework of Sealogy, an Italian trade fair on the topic and is taking place in Ferrara (Italy) on the 6th of March 2020.

The brokerage event is organised in the context of MISTRAL, an Interreg MED programme, aiming to strengthen international cooperation within the blue growth ecosystem and to increase the networking capabilities of SMEs, research centres, universities and clusters.

Brokerage Event at the World Expo Dubai 2020

the Enterprise Europe Network of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce will organise an International Brokerage Event at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai from 20th to 22nd January 2021.

The purpose of the event is to leverage the international dimension at the World Expo in Dubai to bring opportunities for European companies while exploring the Middle Eastern market and the international markets. Furthermore, this event will also serve as a perfect platform to showcase the mission and vision of the Enterprise Europe Network, as a truly open and international business support network that works in the interest of SMEs in their development and internationalisation process.

While the envisaged brokerage event will be multi-sectorial and aims to support the presence of varied spectrum of SMEs, it will lay special emphasis on all the priority sectors for the European economy, namely sustainable development, circular Economy, ICT, transport & logistics, innovation and Industry 4.0 to stay in line with the theme of the Expo ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Moreover, the following sectors will also be targeted: automotive & e-mobility, life science & biotechnology, eco-technologies, environment & renewable energy, eco-construction, MICE & Tourism as well as services to companies.

Important to note that the “Sustainability Week” will be organised from 16th – 21st January 2021 in the framework of the World Expo, which will bring together key specialists, pioneers, leaders and policy makers from the sector. As a priority topic for the EU economy, the envisaged EEN brokerage event will incorporate the Sustainability Week as an optional programme.

The event will encompass visits to industrial zones, thematic seminars, networking receptions and b2b meetings at its core.

In this context, we would like to invite you to register this event in your programme for 2020-2021 and to coordinate a delegation from your respective countries. In case your country has a pavilion at the Expo, we invite you to take up contact with the Director of your National Pavilion as well as with your local Embassy and your bilateral chamber who might be key in helping you build your delegation, especially with companies who are already there on the spot.
