Lisbon Beyond Summit 2018

In parallel with the WebSummit 2018, IAPMEI, the Portuguese Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation and Coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network in Portugal is organizing a brokerage event, making the most of the Web Summit participation. This event will have the support of other EEN partners, acting as co-organizers, from Luxembourg, France, Brazil, Spain and Hungary, among other countries that may join this initiative.

Who should attend?
Investors, Companies, Research Institutes, Universities, Start-ups, from Fintech; Digital; Space; Industry 4.0., among others.

Participation fee
Participation in the bilateral meetings is free of charge.

Matchmaking Recycling Technology 2018

On 7 and 8 November 2018 the exhibition 2018 RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund will take place for the fifth time.

The trade show’s main focus is all about machinery and technical components for recycling and environmentally responsible disposal: from balers and shredding machines, sorting systems and crushers, to sieving and separating machines, through to conveyor systems – everything for recycling organisations, recycling depots and disposal companies, as well as for enterprises with in-house recycling facilities. The machines on display are made for the waste, construction and demolition business, glass, wood, plastic, metal and paper industries as well as for logistics.

The Enterprise Europe Network will use this opportunity and organise a matchmaking event on 8 November 2018. Main organizer will be network partner ZENIT GmbH. They will be supported on the regional level by the waste management association WFZ.ruhr and by the exhibition organisers Easyfairs and on a transnational level by Sector Group Environment and other network partners.

The event will offer participants an excellent opportunity to get updates on the latest technological developments, get an overview over market activities and to meet potential co-operation partners in bilateral meetings.

Target group are companies, research institutes and universities with an interest in finding partners for

• Technology transfer
• Research projects
in the field of recycling.

International Business Meetings "CONTACT denkmal"

The “denkmal” trade fair has been held in Leipzig every two years since its premiere in 1994. “denkmal” is aimed at
decision-makers: architects, planners, skilled artisans, heritage conservation authorities and restorers, but also
investors and building owners. The result is a three-day gathering of industry professionals and private visitors
together in one convenient location.

As Europe’s leading trade fair for cultural heritage conservation, “denkmal” represents an excellent communication
platform for establishing contacts to domestic German and international providers of related goods and services.
Almost 60 companies and institutions from Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, UK, Italy and
Germany participated in the International Business Meetings at denkmal 2016.

Thanks to the great response to the five previous denkmal International Business Meetings, this event will continue
in 2018. The CONTACT International Business Meetings are organised by the Leipzig Chamber of Skilled Crafts and
Trades and Leipziger Messe, and the exchange will once again

The aim with the Company mission, to Medica Tradefair in Düsseldorf, is to network and find relevant business or research partners in the area of Healthcare and medical technologies in Germany, Europe and beyond, as well getting new market insights.

Creative Industries Styria goes Design Week Bilbao

Connecting companies in the area of creativity and design in the different UNESCO Cities of Design within Europe is crucial for the development of an European design & creativity community.
The Creative Industries Styria (CIS) - a cluster organisation funded by the Region of Stryria and the city of Graz - is organizing a company mission to Bilbao in the framework of the Bilbao Design Week. Development Agency of Serbia, SME Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska and Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have a pleasure to invite you to the International B2B meetings for SMEs and clusters, which will be organized within 4th International Cooperation Forum, on 16th November 2018 at Zlatibor, Grand Hotel Tornik.

Beside B2B meetings, the topic of this year’s Forum is access to financial support for SMEs through various state and international co-funding programs, and exchange of best practices in this field among the institutions within the EU and the Western Balkasn Region. Within the Forum, several panels will be organized on the topic of entrepreneurship development, promotion of cross-border and regional cooperation and access to financial funds for SMEs.

The most important aspect of this Forum are B2B Matchmaking Meetings that will be organized for companies, clusters and institutions within the Enterprise Europe Network.We expect that international B2B meetings will bring together more than 200 companies from Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia.

Fundació Balear d'Innovació i Tecnologia (Fundació Bit) would like to invite you to the international matchmaking event that will be organised in the scope of the 13th edition of the Innovation and Tourism International Seminar INTO 2018, which will be held in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain on November 29th and November 30th.

In relation to the framework event INTO, it is an International Seminar on Innovation and Tourism (www.visitinnovation.com/2018) that is taken place in Palma de Mallorca on the 29th and 30th of November 2018. This seminar is a platform for the debate on research proposals and the presentation of good business practices to promote innovation in the sector. In each edition, a current topic of interest is analysed. This is the 13th edition of INTO Seminar and it is presented under the title “Internet of Things (IoT): opportunities for the tourism industry”. It aims to analyse the potential, opportunities and main impacts of the Internet of things over the tourism value chain. In each edition, it is brought together a distinguished group of national and international experts, whose experience and knowledge about innovation and tourism will ensure an optimum input of know-how to promote new activities in the sector and improve the tourism activity at the destination, especially in the Balearic Islands.

More specifically, the Enterprise Europe Network brokerage event intends to build professional relationships among tourism -and innovation- related stakeholders (companies, public administrations, destinations, others), to create synergies among professionals and to build new ones.

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising a nanotech mission to Japan on the fringes of the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference” (http://www.nanotechexpo.jp/).
This mission aimed to support EU SME and Clusters in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

Agrofood Company Mission to Brazil

The National Confederation of Industries of Brazil, CNI, with the support of the SICINDUSTRIA, the Enterprise Europe Network Consorzio Bridgeconomies, in Italy, are promoting a Company Mission to Brazil for the Agrofood sector to match business interests between Brazilian and European medium size entreprises.

CNI coordinates the Brazilian Network of International Business Centers, the CIN Network, to promote the internationalization of Brazilian companies through customized services and also to defend the industry interests in its internationtal operations.

Present in Industry Federations of 26 states and Federal District, the CIN Network has foreign trade experts who develop linked and complementary solutions for better knowing their real business opportunities and enhancing their relations with customers and partners abroad.

It is known that the EU has twelve trade negotiations under way. One of them is with MERCOSUR composed by four countries: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. This trade has been negotiating for 22 years which implies the importance of developing an agreement between EU and MERCOSUR. The future of its bilateral negotiation is to facilitate the business integration for both continents trying to solve market access issues.

Although the Brazilian market is is highly protected with an applied customs averaging duty of 13.5%, the EU encourages Brazil to reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers, and to promote a stable and more open regulatory environment for European investors and traders.

The interests of doing business across Europe and Brazil is based on the plenty opportunities that can be explored for Food and Beverage industries, mostly considering the market size, a considerable amount of consumption, high valorisation of imported products with high quality, open access to products already imported from Greece, Italy, France, among others. Those are the main reasons for including Brazil as a strategic market, which should be accessed by a Company Mission to reach business between European and Brazilians.

The scope of the Company Mission to Brazil will bring into account: B2match plataform, technical support from Federations teams (and CNI), business intelligence consultancy, interpreters, promotion in advance (companies, products, interests, etc), market access info, BE cost free, networking activities supported by other partners, guided visit to Inhotim (an open Museum surrounded in Belo Horizonte), transfers in and out to the airport – hotel – meetings, list of affordable hotel prices, equipped rooms with food and snacks during the meetings.
