Africagua 2019. International business meeting under the theme of water and renewable energy

AFRICAGUA is a leading biennial conference focusing on water and renewable energy challenges. It brings together public and private sectors, nations and business to address opportunities in West African countries

The next edition of Africagua will be held 13 and 14 November 2019, on the island of Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands, Spain. AFRICAGUA expects to carry out regional introduction into developing countries based on knowledge, the exchange of practical improvements in material and the transfer of technology. Throughout the event, workshops, round-tables, seminars and exhibits of successful cases will be held with the goal of realising the opportunities that the sector in Africa presents.

The EEN Canarias Consortium in colaboration with other networks partnes are organising a market place in the context of the AFRICAGUA International Business Meeting under the theme of Water and Renewable Energy. The market place on both days will focus in partnership opportunities, including presentations of the profiles and networking meetings with participants (clusters, research organizations, universities, SMEs and public bodies) from Spain, nd other EEN countries.

AFRICAGUA has established itself as the international model regarding water and renewable energy, attended by international organisations, national authorities, regional and local authorities from diverse countries, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa. ( Cape Verde, Senegal, Mauritania, Ghana, Morocco, Gabon, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea). In this edition the invite country will be Morocco.

This edition of AFRICAGUA focuses on "Resilience to Climate Change: Renewable Energy, Water Management and Territorial Planning”.

AFRICAGUA features a full timetable of workshops, round-tables and presentations providing a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of the topic, as well as real-world case studies and examples of best practices, in order to fully prepare participants to be successful.

The consortium collaborate with stakeholders: Fuerteventura Chambers of Commerce, Cabildo de Fuerteventura and PROEXCA.

Africagua offers the perfect opportunity to meet a range of growing water, renewable energy & environment, companies seeking partners, collaborators, comercialisation and promote their technologies, product and services .

Italian delegation attending SIAL in Jakarta

A delegation of Sicilian companies will participate with a representative booth at the SIAL Jakarta, the dedicated b2b platfom to match Indonesian and Asean Food & Beverage Industry with European Food & Beverage companies.
During the four days of the fair, the Sicilian delegates will have the opportunity to increase their visibility to the Asian market.

The fair will be held from 13 – 16 November 2019 at the Jakarta International Expo.
A collaboration between two strong powers in the food and beverage industry:
SIAL GROUP, the world’s largest food exhibition network
with 50 years of experience,
INTERFOOD, the leading food and beverage exhibition in
Indonesia, running for 17 years.

The delegates belong to the agrifood sector and are involved in the production of excellent Sicilian products such as coffee, Modica chocolate, in oil preserves, organic ice cream, olive oil and pet food.

The 14th EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair (Qingdao)

The EU-China (Qingdao) Business and Technology Cooperation Fair has been held for 4 editions, with an overall attendance of over 430 European enterprises, international organizations, governmental authorities, universities and research institutions as well as more than 1100 Chinese counterparts. Training on Japanese manufacturing methodologies - November 2019

Since the first edition in 1992, more than 700 participants from across all EU Member states have participated in this practical training course managed by the EU-Japan Centre.

The 5-day World Class Manufacturing training mission provides an in-depth analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology such as Lean, Kaizen, TQC ...)

Mission date: 18-22 November 2019

STRUCTURE OF THE TRAINING

The training course consists of lectures, workshops and visits to some of the world’s most advanced Japanese factories in order to understand the real "Gemba" (production site), talk directly with their production managers and observe the effective implementation of manufacturing methods.This course will give its participants a detailed understanding of current Japanese approaches that they can adapt to help their companies lean journeys.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The training targets EU managers, working in EU companies, with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background, deal participants have an important strategic role in shaping the company's best practice strategy or can influence the company's management of quality control / best practice / production systems.

The sector of activity is unimportant since the themes covered are equally applicable in non-manufacturing industries.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 25 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.

The all organisation and its related costs such as workshop, transport to visited location, interpreters, etc... are covered by the EU-Japan Centre. (see the link for more details).

Company mission of Czech enterprises to the Czech-Ukrainian business forum in the frame of state visit to Ukraine

The delegation of the Czech companies is going on the company mission to meet with the business companies in Kyiv (Ukraine).
Company mission will be organized within the Czech-Ukrainian business forum in the frame of state visit of Prime Minister of the Czech Republic that will take place in Kiev (The Ukrainian Camber of Commerce and Industry) the 19th of November 2019.

Company mission to Denmark on the subject of ehealth / medical care sector

The Week of Health and Innovation (WHINN) is organised the 5th time in Odense and is a healthcare and health innovation conference. ICT Cluster and SME Mission 2019

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising, for the fourth time, a cluster match-making mission in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector.

This mission is aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will be organised on the fringe of Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2019 in Yokohama. During the fair (3 days) participants will attend B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors. In order to maximize the partnering opportuni­ties, participating companies will be able to exhibit in the EU-Japan Centre booth.

InnovhubSSI will host a company mission in the sector of metrology instruments for measuring pollution and emissions, to facilitate cooperation between research institutions and companies from Italy, Denmark, France and Finland.

The EEN company mission is organized in cooperation with EU project IMPRESS, addressing measurement gaps of emissions in view of the new European Directive that is coming into force setting increasingly stringent Emission Limit Values for key air pollutants to mitigate ~400 000 premature deaths and €330-€949 billion p.a. of costs attributable to air pollution.

The emissions industry faces an issue as a metrologically robust framework of standardised measurement methods to enforce these directives is not fully in place.

The mission intends to facilitate the generation of common projects and technology transfer in this sector, by matching breakthrough technologies, excellence and knowledge and provide the EU market with new instruments for monitoring and measuring air pollution.

The mission will see the participation of the following institutions: Teknologian tutkimuskeskus VTT Oy (Finland), Teknologisk Institut (Denmark), Danmarks Tekniske Universitet 8Denmark) and Institut national de l'environnement industriel et des risques ineris (France) that will meet a pool of Italian companies operating in the sector of measurement instruments.

Global Business Innovation Programme (Graphene) visit to Boston

Innovate UK’s Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP), delivered by Enterprise Europe Network, is looking for innovative UK SMEs in the graphene sector.

The programme will focus on graphene uses and technology within the electronics, composites and energy sectors. It aims to connect delegates with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, academia and government in the USA.

Successful applicants will be supported through a structured programme and benefit from a six day visit to Boston, USA.
During the visit delegates will attend leading research centres and universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Massachusetts (UMASS) Innovation Institute, iMatSci Innovation Showcase, and The Fall Materials Research Society (MRS) Conference. The programme also includes visits to local and global organisations interested in innovative graphene-enabled devices and technologies, with the aim of creating and promoting opportunities for partnering and collaboration.

Delegates will receive bespoke 1-2-1 support from Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) advisers to help them exploit the opportunity before, during and after the visit, as part of the full programme.

The USA is a significant market for emerging advanced materials, of which, graphene plays a prominent role. Boston is renowned for its abundance of research institutes, universities, and has a healthy network of innovative start-up companies and entrepreneurs allowing for networking and collaboration opportunities.

Organized by ENRICH in the USA San Francisco Center represented by European American Enterprise Council (EAEC), with the support of the CES show organizer CTA and the US Department of Commerce, this B2B Matchmaking event helps "born global startups" and international SME's set up speed meetings (20 min) with numerous potential strategic partners (including investors) and clients through a very organized and structured process, during four days during the International Consumer Electronics Show CES 2019 (Jan, Tue 07 up to Fri 10, 2020).

Nanotech Mission to Japan for EU SMEs and Clusters 2020

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising a nanotech mission to Japan on the fringes of the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference” (http://www.nanotechexpo.jp/).
This mission aimed to support EU SME and Clusters in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale.

• Mission dates: from 28-31 January 2020
• Application deadline: Thursday, 3 October 2019,

Mission participants will have the opportunity to:
• Exhibit at the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference”
• Gain knowledge about the Nanotechnology market structure, sector analysis, business policy
• Identify relevant key contacts (decision makers, R&D centres, business partners)

Costs
The all organisation and its related costs such as the fair participation, interpreters, etc... are covered by the EU-Japan Centre. (see the link for more details).

SME and clusters participants can benefit of a €600 grant, provided by the European Commission, through our organisation to help cover the flight and hotel costs that are to be covered by the participant.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 20 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.

VIII Inward Trade Mission in the Agrofood sector to La Rioja

This event will join Spanish enterprises in the Agrofood sector from La Rioja and importers and distributors from over 20 countries.

During one day, companies will maintain business meetings previously established in agenda, with EU and third countries distributors and importers. The following day will be dedicated to visits to companies previously requested by importers. The Enterprise Europe Network in Regional Business Federation of La Rioja (ES) is the promoter of the event, co-organized by Enterprise Europe Network in Business Organisations from the above mentioned countries.
