BE: Transfer between Mathematics & Industry 2019

A Brokerage event will be organised in the framework of the I Conference on Transfer between Mathematics & Industry which will take place from 22nd to 24rd July 2019 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

The I Conference on Transfer between Mathematics & Industry aims at the promotion and dissemination of the mathematical tools of Statistics & Big Data and MSO (Modelling, Simulation and Optimization) and its industrial applications, the promotion of new research lines oriented to the needs of the industry and the society in general, the renewal of curricula in this field and at all educational levels and the international collaboration between industry-academia.

The conference is organised in collaboration between the Technological Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITMATI) and the Spanish Network for Mathematics & Industry (math-in). The European Service Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation (EU-MATHS-IN) is a collaborator of this international event and supports this initiative.
This Conference is a satellite meeting of ICIAM 2019 that will be held the previous week at Valencia, Spain.

Matchmaking event for the games industry: gamesmatch@gamescom 2019

From 20-24 August 2019 the gamescom fair will take place in Cologne - the world's largest trade exhibition and event highlight in the game sector!

Games companies will present their latest products and releases but they will also be looking for future projects and cooperation partners.

For the seventh time the Enterprise Europe Network will offer professionals a unique and efficient way to speed up their business meetings at gamescom.

Companies interested in gaining access to new markets, up-scaling their technological base, marketing and other related topics, should join gamesmatch@gamescom2019.

Matchmaking Event “?nnovation-2019” – is a networking-platform for the meeting of scientists, innovators and inventors, manufacturers of leading innovative technologies, founders of startup and spin-off companies with representatives of enterprises - potential partners or consumers interested in innovative technologies, accelerators of investment projects, representatives of Investment Institutions and Ministries, responsible for innovation policy, experts in the economic field and consultants in the field of intellectual property protection.

Å Pitch - Do Good, Do Business. International Business & Matchmaking Event for Value Based Business

Å Pitch is the first Nordic pitching event under the slogan ‘do good, do business’. We aim to promote startups and SMEs doing value-based business by providing technologies and solutions that ‘do good’, be it combating climate change, fostering sustainable development, developing peace tech, water, waste and food solutions, trustworthy AI, etc. We want to bring together businesses, NGOs, investors and public organisations to provide a platform for all these actors to meet and discuss co-operation, funding and financing as well as finding joint business opportunities.

Å Pitch consists of three tracks.

Seminar: NGOs and investors share how businesses can cooperate with them and support organisations share how they can support companies in entering these, often challenging, markets.

Matchmaking: Companies, investors and potential clients meet for 15 minute 1-to-1 meetings.

Startup competition: A dozen exciting startups from several countries will be pitching their ideas for 3 minutes each. The audience will mainly consist of investors, potential customers, and SME support organisations. Three best pitches will sail away with prizes that will be announced soon.

Å Pitch is organized by Turku Science Park Ltd and Enterprise Europe Network and it is an official side event of Shift Business Festival.

Jobs to Be Done method is about innovation, idea testing and verifying, solutions creating and implementing to your business models later.

To make this training more efficient and to ensure that outcomes are applicable for EEN services we will have the opportunity to work in groups in order to find out how EEN looks like from clients’ perspective. Keep in mind that training fits in the innovation open air festival iNOVUSS.

Innovation festival iNOVUSS will take place in Riga, Latvia from 30th August to 1st September 2019. It will gather a large audience and will be a unique opportunity to share inspiring ideas and experience, join discussions and business workshops.This year, festival will take a place in Lucavsala island that is located in heart of Riga on a banks of river Daugava.

FIVEbio Tour. The Organic Wine Fair International Inward trade mission to Navarre (Spain)

AIN collaborates with Government of Navarre, ReynoGourmet certification (Navarre’s Institute of Agrifood Technology and Infraestructures), and CPAEN-NNPEK (Council of the ecological agrarian production of Navarre) in the organisation of the FIVEbio Tour 2019 (https://www.five-bio.com/en/) The FIVEbio Tour is an inward trade mission in the Organic Wine sector to Navarre that will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of September and is open to importers and distributors worldwide. The Enterprise Europe Network will help in the dissemination of the event amongst distributors and importers aiming to achieve a high level of participants.

The quality of the Navarrese organic wine is identified under the regional organic standards of the Autonomous Region of Navarre with wines included in the Designation of Origin D.O. Navarre and D.O La Rioja. A small number of other Spanish D.O. will be also shown during the tour (to be confirmed in the following days).
The dates, 2nd and 3rd September have been carefully chosen in order to allow visitors to feel, smell, touch the vines right before the “vendimia-vintage” when grapes are harvested.
International distributors and importers will be treated as guests in our region and will be invited to visit 4 different wineries and meet there 15 different organic Spanish wines in each. Guests are expected to arrive to Pamplona on Sunday 1st September and will be received with an official welcome dinner. The visitors will be hosted at AC Ciudad de Pamplona from where they will depart each day. The trips will last from 30 to 40 minutes at the most and they will be able to meet with around 60 wineries. Gastronomy will also be part of this discovery trip. Lunches and dinners will consist of local organic food and will take place in the wineries.
Travel, accommodations and subsistence expenses for importers and distributors are 100% funded by organisers.

Eureka stakeholder conference Matchmaking

Please join us and come to the Eureka stakeholder conference 'Creating ecosystems for innovation' in DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam!

The conference is the kick-off of the Dutch chairmanship of the Eureka Network. The Netherlands will chair the network from July 2019 until June 2020.

During the Eureka stakeholder conference the targetgroups innovative industry, SMEs and knowledge institutes from inside and outside Europe will share their experiences and interests within the Eureka Network.

The feedback gathered during the conference will be presented to Eureka policy makers. The results will be used to create a powerful set of innovation tools that will contribute to the creation of innovative ecosystems for the future.

This event will also provide room for matchmaking with other innovative SMEs and industry representatives from Europe and beyond. In addition, information sessions will be organised about all innovation instruments offered by EUREKA.

Following the successful results from the previous company missions “Smart textiles” to Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands and Flanders/B, the Enterprise Europe Network partners representative for Thuringia/D and Rhone-Alpes/FR, are organizing a matchmaking mission for local companies in the Smart Textiles & wearables sector to Rhone-Alpes region. This mission is aimed to support companies, mainly SME’s dealing with smart textiles and wearables in their efforts to develop strategic partnerships and business cooperation between both regions.

Focused on: Smart textiles, smart fibres, flexible electronics, textile sensors, wearables, technical textiles.

The EEN company mission will give SMEs the opportunity to establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale. The mission will also contribute to improve the cooperation strategies between the very active smart textiles networks and companies in both regions.

The mission runs over 2 days and includes targeted company visits in the region Rhone-Alpes/FR including creative B2B sessions with the French textile cluster TECHTERA and the “Club Smart Textiles & Wearables”. Interested participants from other countries are welcome.

3rd Belgrade Horizon Business & Innovation Fair including Matchmaking Event

Enterprise Europe Network Serbia with the support of its West Balkan regional partners and the Innovation Centre of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering invites entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and scientific institutions to participate in the 3rd Belgrade Horizon Business & Innovation Fair which includes Info-session, Exhibition, and Matchmaking devoted to support to access for financing of innovation, internationalization, and impact on start-ups and innovators of transition from Horizon 2020 to Horizon Europe - the current and coming EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation on September 10th, 2019.

Since the meeting is preceding Regional Conference of Enterprise Europe Network large attendance of participants and technology brokers from Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, and Montenegro is expected. The Network's sector groups for BioChemTech, Materials, and Nanotechnologies will be represented on the event through their representatives.

From its beginning, the Belgrade Horizon Fair is a biannual event attracting a large number of foreign participants, roughly 50%.

The Horizon 2020 Event will focus is on three important aspects necessary for a successful grant application:

(1) The latest information coming on the calls for proposals;
(2) Improving proposal quality and technology uptake readiness;
(3) Partner Searches – Brokerage, since the formation of an excellent consortium consisting of complimentary partners is essential for the success of a project application.

We will give details on the expected call themes relevant to nanotechnology, materials and manufacturing research & development & innovation. The participants will be able to present a short summary of their research interests. The main emphasis will lie on the aspect „Partner Searches – Matchmaking“ – with a coffee break, poster exhibition, presentation, and (self-payment) lunch in the restaurant on the same floor aimed to facilitate discussions and exchange of idea. For participants not being able to travel to Belgrade we will organize VoI meetings (e.g., through Skype and other similar platforms).

Once selected, the Chamber of Commerce sent the Catalan companies a list of companies that will visit Catalonia and subsequently it will prepare the agendas containing.

Within the Framework of the Horizon 2020, Transport Information Day (October 7, 2019, Brussels) the ETNA 2020 organises a brokerage event together with the Enterprise Europe Network, focusing on the topics covered by the "Smart, Green and Integrated Transport" Work Programme 2020.

Biotech Cluster and SME Mission 2019

Following the successful results from the previous years, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising the 7th edition of the cluster and SMEs match-making mission in the Biotechnology sector. This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale. The mission will also contribute to improve the cooperation strategies between EU and Japanese clusters.

The Biotech Cluster/SME mission coincides with the “BioJapan” Expo in Yokohama (http://www.ics-expo.jp/biojapan/en/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors. In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

Additionally, a partnering event will be organized one day before the fair, in Osaka.

Horizon 2020 for the Circular Economy and Transforming Industry #CETI_H2020

NCPs CaRE, NMP Team and the Enterprise Europe Network are joining forces to organise a Brokerage event on 9th October 2019 on “Horizon 2020 for the Circular Economy and Transforming Industry”. NCPs CaRE is the network of NCP for Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 “Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. NMP Team is the Network of NCPs for Industrial Leadership KET Part (Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing) of the HORIZON 2020 Framework Programme. Circular Economy is currently a focus area of Horizon 2020 calls transversal to several calls.

The purpose of the event will be to bring together potential applicants for Horizon 2020 calls related to the Circular Economy to help them build consortium and develop their proposals. The event is notably targeting participants from Eastern and Central European Countries and from the European Neighbourhood Policy Countries to foster international cooperation, but participants from all countries are welcome: Horizon 2020 is “Open to the world”!

The Brokerage event will be preceded by keynote speeches, advises by the European Commission and presentations of the Horizon 2020 calls by National Contact Points.

EEN Network partners should encourage their clients interesting in Horizon 2020 calls to learn more about the calls and to participate to join wining consortia.

Space Week 2019 (Rome,9-11 October 2019) is the international conference
dedicated to space access and services technologies, where you can:

French-Spanish B2B in Health related industries

The “5th Cross-Border Meetings on Bio-Health Industries: New Aquitaine, Basque Country and Navarre”, will take place at Baluarte, Pamplona, Spain, on 17 October 2019. This event will be organized by SODENA, the agency for economic development in Navarre, the Basque Health Cluster, the TIC Santé Cluster of Aquitaine and GIPSO (Aquitaine).

The objective of the Meetings is to promote cross-border collaboration projects between industrialists and researchers from public and private entities of the health sector of the three territories. The success of the 4th meetings is the best testimony of the need for this collaboration.

The Meetings are aimed at entrepreneurs, researchers, universities, technology centres and, in short, all the actors of innovation in the Health sector in Navarra, Euskadi (Basque Country) and New Aquitaine.

The event will feature around "flash" presentations of companies and research groups, as well as successful cases of cross-border collaborations and round tables on the relevant aspects of the sector in the Euroregion. Maritime company mission to Kiel - Meet the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany @MEER KONTAKTE

MEER KONTAKTE is the networking fair of Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) with two days of exhibition, plenaries, presentations, and thematic workshops with participants from business, politics, and research.

Key topics 2019 (all related to maritime applications, especially in commercial shipping and shipbuilding):
Human Resources, AI, Digitalisation, Green Shipping

Target group: Maritime clusters, companies, research institutions and associations especially from neighbouring countries of Northern Germany, thus in the West Netherlands and Belgium, in the North Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland and in the East Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Costs: Participation in MEER KONTAKTE and in the company mission is free of charge. Travel and accommodation is at own costs.

Maritime Cluster Northern Germany is a network of more than 350 members from all five Northern German regions with the aim to promote and develop cooperation in the Northern German maritime industry. Walloon company mission to Timisoara

The company mission constitutes the EEN specific part of a business mission to Romania organized by the Walloon Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX) from 22 to 25 October 2019 and open to all Walloon companies producers of goods or services.

The delegation (5 to 10 companies) will visit Bucharest and Timisoara in order to connect with Romanian businesses. The delegation will be multisectoral but with a special focus on Agrofood.

A full B2B day is organized in Timisoara with the active support of the local EEN partner, the Regional Development Agency of the West Region, which will hosts the event and find relevant potential partners for the Walloon companies.

The participation to the EEN B2B meetings day in Timisoara is restricted to the participants of the business mission organized by AWEX.

The EEN Canarias Consortium in colaboration with other networks partnes are organising a market place in the context of the AFRICAGUA International Business Meeting under the theme of Water and Renewable Energy. The market place on both days will focus in partnership opportunities, including presentations of the profiles and networking meetings with participants (clusters, research organizations, universities, SMEs and public bodies) from Spain, nd other EEN countries.

AFRICAGUA has established itself as the international model regarding water and renewable energy, attended by international organisations, national authorities, regional and local authorities from diverse countries, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa. Since the first edition in 1992, more than 700 participants from across all EU Member states have participated in this practical training course managed by the EU-Japan Centre.

The 5-day World Class Manufacturing training mission provides an in-depth analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology such as Lean, Kaizen, TQC ...)

STRUCTURE OF THE TRAINING

The training course consists of lectures, workshops and visits to some of the world’s most advanced Japanese factories in order to understand the real "Gemba" (production site), talk directly with their production managers and observe the effective implementation of manufacturing methods.This course will give its participants a detailed understanding of current Japanese approaches that they can adapt to help their companies lean journeys.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The training targets EU managers, working in EU companies, with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background, deal participants have an important strategic role in shaping the company's best practice strategy or can influence the company's management of quality control / best practice / production systems.

The sector of activity is unimportant since the themes covered are equally applicable in non-manufacturing industries.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 25 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising, for the fourth time, a cluster match-making mission in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector.

This mission is aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

This company mission is addressed to French companies (Grand Est region in particular) which have a special know-how or offer in the field of aeronautics, space or defense and want to expand or create business in Germany.

The first day, companies will visit 2 major industrial german plants and participate to a networking dinner with local guests.

The next 2-3 days will be dedicated to BtoB meetings between the French companies and German prospects previously identified through individual specifications.

This event will take place in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria from December 2 to 6 2019.

Business Mission of Czech companies to Russia

On the occasion of the international fair Russian Forest Fair international company mission of Czech enterprises to Russia will be organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Moravian-Silesian Region as an organizer and Russian Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises Support as an event co-organizer.

The mission is primarily focused on companies from the woodworking, food processing, waste disposal and metallurgy industries.

The companies operating in the woodworking industry are invited to present the company at the Russian Forest Fair at a stand under the auspices of the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Companies will also participate in bilateral meetings with Russian companies.The program will also include excursions to Russian companies. The social-working meeting at the General Consulate in St. Petersburg will extend the possibility of establishing new business contacts.

Target group:
Czech and Russioan companies operating in the field of woodworking, food processing, waste disposal, metallurgy industries and related fields.

International Brokerage Event in the Conference of the Parties (COP25)

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the international response to climate change. It is a treaty that sets out the basic responsibilities of the 196 Parties (States) plus the European Union to fight climate change. It was signed at the Earth Summit in 1992 and entered into force in 1994. Chile joined that year and entered into force in 1994.

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the supreme decision-making body of the Convention. The Parties meet annually to review progress in the implementation of the Convention, while other instruments underpinning its implementation are proposed, assessed and approved.

The first COP was held in Berlin in 1995. 24 COPs have been held to date, the last one in Katowice, Poland, in December 2018.

The COP Presidency rotates among the following 5 United Nations regions: Africa, Asia, Central, and Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean. This time it is Chile's turn.

Within the framework of this conference, the Eurochile Business Foundation with the Network Enterprise Europe Network organizes a B2B.

Nanotech Mission to Japan for EU SMEs and Clusters 2020

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising a nanotech mission to Japan on the fringes of the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference” (http://www.nanotechexpo.jp/).
This mission aimed to support EU SME and Clusters in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale.

• Mission dates: from 28-31 January 2020
• Application deadline: Thursday, 3 October 2019,

Mission participants will have the opportunity to:
• Exhibit at the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference”
• Gain knowledge about the Nanotechnology market structure, sector analysis, business policy

Costs
The all organisation and its related costs such as the fair participation, interpreters, etc... are covered by the EU-Japan Centre. (see the link for more details).

SME and clusters participants can benefit of a €600 grant, provided by the European Commission, through our organisation to help cover the flight and hotel costs that are to be covered by the participant.

Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 20 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.
